Job Description

Our client believes that the rewards of education are both valuable and enduring. Our main purpose is to allow each student to reap the rewards of their education by achieving their highest potential in the rapidly growing healthcare industry. We are currently looking to add a Director of Education to our Los Angeles, CA location.
The Director of Education is the academic leader and manager of the program Directors and faculty. This position is directly responsible and accountable for ensuring the fulfillment of educational goals and outcomes.
Responsibilities:

Student attrition; monitors retention efforts, classroom orientation, academic and attendance advising.
Hires and trains Program Directors and faculty in teaching methodologies, lesson plan development and presentation skills.
Responsible for new faculty orientation and annual faculty development plans.
Oversees and schedules classroom observations, assessments and written evaluations.
Ensures compliance with ACCSC and the State of California regulations and policies.
Requirements

Masters degree or higher required.
Acceptable experience includes a minimum of 5 years teaching experience and 5 years academic administration preferably in healthcare or career education .
Experience managing distance education required.
Experience leading faculty.
Experience with credit transfer evaluation.
For profit private postsecondary experience, imaging or nursing experience desired.
Recommended competencies include:

Ability to prioritize, multi-task, perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, and work flexible schedules.
Ability to communicate, motivate and develop team to meet outcomes.
Individual must possess strong oral and written communication proficiency.
Must have strong technical skills including all computer applications, internet research, database management, and analytical skills.
Individual must be professional in all aspects of the position including appearance, demeanor, and attitude and consistently display the highest levels of integrity.
Competitive Compensation Based on Experience and 401K Plan is Offered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
