About the Role:

Job Summary:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Officer (CIO) with a specialization in data sciences to lead our organization's data strategy and drive data-driven decision-making across all business functions. As the CIO, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions, data governance, and data management policies and procedures that support the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the organization's overall strategy, goals, and objectives.

- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks for data management, quality, security, and privacy.

- Oversee the development and deployment of data-driven solutions that deliver business value and support informed decision-making across all business functions.

- Lead the development and implementation of data analytics, data mining, and predictive modeling capabilities to drive insights and create business value.

- Collaborate with business leaders to identify opportunities to leverage data to improve business performance, drive growth, and create competitive advantage.

- Lead the identification, evaluation, and adoption of emerging technologies and tools that enhance data analytics capabilities and drive innovation.

- Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, data analysts, and data engineers to support the organization's data strategy.

- Develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field preferred.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, data management, or related field; at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role.

- Proven experience in developing and executing data strategies, policies, and governance frameworks that support business goals.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to turn data into insights and actionable recommendations.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- Strong leadership and team management skills with a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives from conception to completion.

- Strong understanding of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data science and analytics.
