Title: Program Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA

Position Overview:

This position focuses on ensuring the strategic solution programs are delivered on time, within scope, budget and with quality. The Project Manager is accountable for supporting the successful delivery (development, deployment, and adoption) of strategic programs that are critical for NCR. These programs have direct correlations to bringing new solutions to market and generating additional revenue for NCR. Being effective in this role requires a natural ability to lead, build strong trusting partnerships across the organization and drive progress. This requires a highly resourceful individual who thrives in a fast-moving, complex environment requiring strong emotional intelligence and self-motivation. Ability to influence & energize a diverse set of stakeholders towards a common goal.

Responsibility will include:

Support cross functional team whose charter includes delivering/leading key strategic solutions for NCR; these are global, strategic high-risk programs involving complex cross-program management
Critical to deliver projects on time, on budget, on scope with high quality.
Develop and execute project plan and all related tasks. Manage multiple project teams across various phases of project lifecycle
Internal status meetings and reporting (tracking timeline, cost, scope). Ensure Go-No-Go checklists are followed for each product lifecycle phase.
Create dashboard to track deployment plans – limited releases, customer specific deployments
Publish weekly dashboard and coordinate steering committee meetings where needed
Mobilize cross functional teams to ensure accountability towards the program and hold them accountable for their deliverables (Sales, SW Development, QA, SW Support, HW Support, Training, Solution management, Marketing, Go To Market, etc.)
Ensure the solution is ready for market and cross functional deliverables are completed as per the project plan
Ensure resources are committed and engaged for all project phases
Issue and escalation management
Formal risk assessments (internal and external) and mitigations

Core Competencies for successful performance in this role are:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
Proven ability to solve problems creatively
Experience with API Management (e.g. Apigee) and API based integrations
Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
Excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
Highly developed communications skills (written/verbal) and interpersonal savvy
Quick learner, curious with high sense of urgency
Comfortable escalating, presenting, and addressing any feedback from the executives.
Work with experienced project manager to assist them or to follow through on action items as agreed

Basic Qualifications:

5-7 years of program management and related experience
Undergraduate Degree (BS, BA, BBA)
Background in software business, specifically familiarity w/ modern software trends (SaaS, Cloud, Telemetry, etc.)
The successful candidate will be high-energy, agile-minded, proactive, a direct communicator, highly organized and committed to driving results.
Smart, strong analytical skills and ability; outstanding project management, execution, and business acumen
Good sense of self and strong personal presence
Willingness to work hard and lead

Preferred Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Project management or Statistics
Knowledge of Retail, Financial or Hospitality industry with a focus on omnichannel/omni-commerce programs.
PMP certification
CSM certification
Six Sigma certification
