Job Description

Beta Engineering is currently looking for a Manager of Project Management to join our team. The Manager of Project Management will oversee Project Managers, Project Assistants, Project Coordinators and Procurement Agents. This position is responsible for overseeing the management of all aspects of a project. This position will require supervision/influence of the interaction with a customer. The Manager of Project Management also participates in strategic planning meetings and provides insights for new product offerings or business opportunities for consideration in increasing Beta’s or Crest’s market share.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Business development activities associated with customers included but not limited to; travel to customer’s place of business or venue, meeting with customer and providing prepared presentation of capabilities, entertaining customers, team building events with customers, recruitment of business, etc.
Participate in proposal activities to ensure customer’s expectation will be met and scope of services are complete. This may include pre and post bid meetings and job walks.
Assigns and coordinates direct reports to various duties as required for project execution and in conjunction with the Product Family Manager.
Projects staffing needs to meet future and active project requirements.
Provide oversight on project execution of all projects. Ensures a high level of quality to all deliverables.
Manages overall project cost, schedule and scope of work.
Maintains high level contact with customer over life of project to ensure appropriate level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Is responsible for providing direction to or implementing remediation to resolve conflicts or disputes with the customer.
Provide strategic planning insights for new product offerings or business opportunities for consideration in increasing Beta’s or Crest’s market share.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Directly supervises staff of Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Project Assistants and Procurement Agents. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Crest's and Beta's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Use of company vehicle is a requirement for the position, must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Five or more years of related experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an applicable field of study. Must be knowledgeable of general civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical industries.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project
