We are seeking a PHP developer who is enthusiastic about learning and expanding their skill set. While we prefer candidates who are studying computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, we understand that not all applicants will have the same level of experience. Therefore, we encourage anyone who has the willingness to learn and grow in this field to apply.

Responsibilities:

This candidate will be responsible for taking projects from the initial specification to the end user experience. They will also troubleshoot issues related to open source software such as Joomla, WordPress, and Drupal, as well as web browser issues for the web design team. Additionally, the candidate will explain technical ideas and designs to their peers and management.

Qualifications:

While not required, the ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

- Enrolled in an Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree program

- Studying computer science, computer engineering, or a related field

- PHP/MySQL experience

- Knowledge of open source platforms such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and Shopify

- Familiarity with Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) such as Eclipse or similar software

About the Position:

This is a part-time, flexible position, with an average of 8-12 hours per week. The candidate will have their own workspace and computer, and will be allowed to dress casually. In addition, they will receive letters of recommendation and have the opportunity to learn valuable skills necessary for a career in web application development and computer programming.
