Job Description

A Data Entry Typist is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems and databases. This role requires strong typing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large volumes of information while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter data into databases, spreadsheets, and company systems accurately and efficiently

Verify and review data for errors or inconsistencies

Update and maintain records according to company standards

Organize and manage digital and physical files

Perform basic data cleaning and formatting tasks

Generate reports as required

Follow data security and confidentiality policies

Meet daily or weekly data entry targets and deadlines

Requirements & Skills:

Proven experience as a data entry typist or similar role (preferred)

Fast and accurate typing skills

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) or data entry software

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Basic knowledge of office procedures

High school diploma or equivalent
